Immersive extravaganza of art, music, fashion, community, conservation in Cape Town
From visual awareness campaigns and events, our mission is to raise awareness in varying forms and to reach diverse audiences, locally and abroad. We aim to stop the demand by getting to the rhino horn user.
The Saviours’ Army is a movement that calls on all people to rise up against rhino poaching.
Will you stand with us?
On 12 February, an army of rhino protectors will gather in Cape Town with the result being an immersive extravaganza of art, music, fashion, community and conservation.
Two-time Grammy award winner Harold Faltermeyer will be in attendance with his music providing the perfect backdrop for a united and artistic voice against rhino poaching. The German musician, composer and record producer was responsible for the theme for Beverly Hills Cop (1986) and for the anthem of Top Gun (1987). He has also collaborated with the likes of Barbra Streisand, La Toya Jackson, Billy Idol, Jennifer Rush, Bonnie Tyler, Pet Shop Boys.
The evening will further feature rhino scarves painted by children from Lalela. The organisation provides educational arts programmes for youth from under-resourced communities to spark creative thinking and awaken the entrepreneurial spirit. The award-winning educational venture has enriched the lives of thousands of children from low-income communities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Models from Boss Models Cape Town will walk the runway. The agency is one of the leading model agencies on the African continent, being at the forefront of corporate responsibility for more than 25 years. They offer support to projects and organisations focused on the upliftment of disadvantaged and vulnerable communities, conservation efforts and issues surrounding environmental impact and sustainability.
